Zach will be missed at the Guttery home!

One of those sweet Mesa Boys is leaving today to serve his mission in the Ukraine! Zach has been such a big brother to Kayla. He always makes sure she is safe. When she would be in Mesa late at night, he would follow her or even drive her car home (yep, one time we found him asleep on the couch in the morning because he didnt have a ride back home) He's very mature and has a vocabulary of a professor. He is a state wrestling champ so he does have some wrestling skills most moms wouldnt want around their daughter, but Zach is one of those boys ANY mom would want around - all of us are gonna miss Zach - Lucky Ukrainians! This is what Breeas wall looked like before Zach, and below is after the Zachattack.
He's the one under the carnage.

This was the crew last night after the setting apart. Stephen on the front row flashing gangs signs was offering "hug and kiss transfers" I thought this was so thoughtful of him to offer his service to take all their hugs and kisses for Zach and confer them on him to be transferred to Zach.

If you have a weak stomach, then don't click on the link below. It is a picture of a suicide jumper taken shortly after he landed. It shows him with his insides now on the outside. You will see the look of horror on the faces of the bystanders. The faces of the by standers, is why I believe this photo is real. Click here:

Along with 20 ycl's coming over to learn their camp skit and dance, 8 neighbors hanging out until 11:30 and missing Kayla .................

This is one of Breeas friends, Landon, performing the "you cant swallow cinnamon" trick. Ah.... good times.

Chad and Rachels Wedding!

What a party. The Wright House was the perfect setting for this evening reception. Alot of the family was there - We missed those that weren't there, but we went ahead and had a great time anyway. Grandmas Texas Sheet Cake was the hit at our table. We would send different people in to get about 4 pieces for the table, about every 15 minutes. Chad and Rachel are perfect together and I cant wait to get to know her (and her homemade salsa) better.

Grandma and Brandon - Ive been trying to find some great girl to set him up with (because thats one of my obsessions) but I cant think of one good enough - he's a sweetheart - got any ideas?

Fathers Day up North

We were able to pick up Bill in Flagstaff on Saturday as the YM from our ward were driving home from Lake Powell. It was great to be with three of the greatest dads to ever walk the planet:

First - Bill: The dad of 6 amazing girls. Thanks for being patient, happy, positive, understanding, funny, gentle, strong and loving me. You make our family so happy and set a great example to all of us. Thanks for knowing each daughter and what they need and when they need it.

Second - Dad Guttery - Willard: Thanks for being a great teacher of how to be an amazing dad. Thanks for being so easy-going, kind, hard working and smart. Thanks for teaching us to be loving with each other through your example and for taking such great care of your sweet wife. Thanks for making my girls feel special and loving them even though they're wacky. You always make me feel part of the Guttery family even if I am lazy at your home (which is so unlike a Guttery to be)

Third - Dad Hatch - Paul: Thanks dad, for taking such great care of me and my fragile emotions and that of my four sisters. Thanks for picking me as your favorite and making the "other ones" feel like they are too. You take great care of mom and always put her first on your list and that has always had a big impact on me and my family. Thanks for teaching me to be grateful for family, country and the Gospel. What a gift.

I love all these dads more than anything. They are a big part of who I am and a great example of who I want to be more like. Love you all!

Hey Queen Creek/South Gilbert friends - There is still a little room in Jenees Workshop!

My kids do this workshop every summer and wouldnt miss it. Its TWO weeks of singing and dancing to disney songs. Here are some pictures of some of the last classes and workshops.

Kaylas in a traveling performing group called Ambassadors of LIGHT and......

(Not original cast - LIGHT performers)

They have a show at the Mesa South Stake Center Friday night at 7:30 PM and it's FREE!!! That is about 1400 E Southern just East of Stapley. The show will be about 75-80 minutes long. It is really entertaining, lots of comedy. They have used parts from the LIGHT shows from the past 4 years and added a few new numbers too. Because the cast is only 16 each number looks and sounds so different than when the entire LIGHT cast does the number, so it is virtually like a brand new show. Each of the performers is so talented and they are working so hard so that this show is as perfect as we hope. This is a great missionary opportunity for any of you to bring a friend or two for a very enjoyable evening, fit for the entire family. The next day, AOL will head to California to continue their tour in California, Las Vegas and Utah. So bring your family its FREE !!!

Last Saturday we had the opportunity to head up above Globe to help clear trails for Connor J's Eagle Project. The road was ridiculous (not in a good way), but it was a great time.

Colton, Connor, John, Mason and Andrew. 5 of the greatest 15 year olds invented.

The only 14 year old girl that braved being around these 15 year old boys.
Shayna organizing the forest

Dad, Hunter and Tessa - Chill'n

We did some sibling exchanging and ended up with Rehgan

"Your a very good sista in a very good way"

I miss driving and the extra money from spent on gas!

My dad sent me this letter sent to him - Just watch the video and you decide. (please feel free to copy, paste, poste and email this)

Dear Paul,
Our "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" campaign continues to gain momentum. Yesterday, American Solutions delivered the first round of signatures - 350,000 - to the U.S. Senate urging them to take immediate action to lower gas prices by drilling for oil domestically.
We delivered the signatures to the offices of Senators Alexander, Clinton, Durbin, Ensign, Kyl, McCain, McConnell, Obama, Reid and Schumer urging them to offer real solutions to our energy challenges, beginning with using more of our domestic energy resources.
But this is only the beginning. It's our goal to have 3 million signatures by both parties' national conventions this fall. Help us reach our goal by forwarding this email to 10 friends and encouraging them to sign the petition.
Watch this video of the first batch of signatures being delivered:
New Research on Domestic Energy ResourcesWe released new research data this week on domestic energy resources. The data clearly confirms the overwhelming response we've received via emails, letters, and phone calls during our "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" campaign: the American people believe it's commonsense to work here at home to solve America's energy challenges.
In fact, 81% of the American people support the U.S. using more of its own domestic energy resources, including the oil and coal already here, to combat the rising cost of energy and reduce dependence on foreign energy sources.
As the chart below suggests, the agreement is widespread regardless of political affiliation.

Bridging the Technological DivideDavid Kralik, our Director of Internet Strategy, was profiled in the Washington Post this week.
The article focuses on our work in Silicon Valley learning from the entrepreneurial, problem-solving ethos of Silicon Valley that is sorely lacking in Washington, DC.
A DC resident for 10 years, Kralik now lives and works in the Valley trying to bridge the divide between the failing Washington bureaucracies and the innovative Silicon Valley entrepreneurs.

Yesterday...............

5:30 Wake to find that Bill forgot to wake Breea for volleyball - shes not happy with anyone.

6:00 Wake the rest of the troupe for their first day of Performing Workshops - some happy, some not so much.

7:00 Fix protein shakes and get them out the door

7:30 Bath Brodey to prepare for the surgery where he looses his manhood and ability to make more of his kind. (trust me, Im doing the world a favor)

8:00 Clean, shower and laundry

9:30 Dani comes over with Collin and they play with Tessa in the irrigation and pool.

10:00 Danica accidentally lets Brodey out and he runs on the outskirts of the irrigation taunting me than he's going in - but alas, the pack leader (me) coaxes him back to his senses and 5 minutes later hes back in the less dirty environment called "my house".

10:30 Leave with a clean Brodey for the Spay/Neuter Clinic

11:00 Freak out because I didnt realize that other dogs, bigger ones, might be in the same room, for minutes or hours???

11:15 Brodey cowers under my chair and behind my purse hoping the other dogs wont notice him.

12:00 Brodey goes in and they inform me I can pick him up between 4 and 5:30 that day - after dropping 100 bucks in their hands.

12:30 Pick up kids that packed lunch's but Kayla took their lunch's with her to her job - they're starving

12:45 Lunch

1:00 Breea back to the workshop

2:00 Home to find good friends in the back yard enjoying the pool

2:15 Pick up 3 extra kids and head to library

3:15 Drop of all kids except Tess and head to pick up Breea

4:00 Breea loves workshop and we head to pick up Brodey

4:15 They inform us that Brodey will have to wear a cone for 10 DAYS!!!

They trip home was sad, but Breea laughed at him the whole way.

5:00 Home to find out I need to take Tessa to get her stitches out.

5:30 Go out to find car battery DEAD

5:31 Walk to Jeffs house to take the small patient

5:40 Watch Tessa be a scream'n me me, because we waited an extra week to get her stitch's out and scabs were covering them.

6:00 Call Kayla to see if shes home and ready to head to wedding dinner that starts at 6:30 in East Mesa - Shes at the Mall.

6:30 Kayla gets home and we hop in her car and drive about two miles and realize she is WAY below empty and the nearest gas station is about 5 miles away.

6:40 Go back home and pour our gas can from garage in Kaylas tank at head to the dinner.

7:10 Get to the dinner and enjoy watching Rachel and Chad and their families toast and tease them. Aunt Ferns home was perfect and the food and entertainment was too. It was a fiesta with Kays Pico De Galo and her neighbors salsa. We played 5 truths and 5 lies about Rachel and Chad and then they had an open mic where anyone could tell stories - I did get a little tearing when her dad talked about Rachel being a perfect daughter. A little too close to home, having 6 of them myself. I do have crying issues that I doubt will ever be worked out and SURE I have passed on to my girls.

11:15 When we got home at 10:30 from the dinner and Target we all went straight to bed. We got a ring at the door at 11:15 - everyone was asleep and we scrambled to get dressed - got to the door and it was Shayna. She was having a late night with Bailee and was suppose to come home and be in bed at 9:00. When I carried Tessa into bed there was a big blanket and pillow on her bed - it obviously was not Shayna.
