It all started with the jam-packed pick-up we decided to shove everyone and everything into.
Danica and Brennon got to come through the holiday!
So did Kayla!
And the Mulder family!
and 11 of Kaylas best friends. The Mesa boys!
The boys dug this awesome hole one night,
and her and Brennon enjoyed it until......
the dam broke and that was her first taste of water, as she was too afraid to go in the ocean.
Preston Noble taught her how to surf!
Then it turned into the family jacuzzi.
Breea was the queen of "dribble castles" and taught her technique to dad and Tessa.
During the course of the day the hole transformed into many thing and the boys couldn't stand to see it disappear, so the boogie board dam was invented.
to no avail. The human dam was the last resort, and proved unsuccessful.
I took a few minutes to solve the worlds problems with Slow-Moe, and found out he was a close talker too. PS thanks for leaving me out on the porch with him Bill.
This is our spot we looked at every day from the beach house. A little cabana of heaven. ahh........
Monkey had a B-day and Cannon and Tiffany Christensen invited the family over for a shin dig. Are we not the coolest parents, letting our kids eat dinner on the roof?
Well, unless one of them plummeted to their death, then...... not such cool parents. We had a great time with Tif, Cannon and their cool Bro. and Sister in law, and parents, playing "steal the pencil" and "31".
Loved bike rides on the boardwalk. Dad and Shayna with McKennas beautiful hair on the side.
Baby Boston was the Best!
Playing and winning cards on the porch.
Occasionally we would see the Christensen family on their daily bike ride, we couldn't do that much as we were staying in the "non-exercising" zone.
The boardwalk on Labor Day Weekend is pretty exciting. We watched these boys trying to give out free hugs, with no takers. Then they hit our spot.......
Mesa boys know how to share the love.
Im a responsible parent, my kids did their homework from the week of school they missed, even Tessa did flashcards.
There was time for R & R
Tessa was in her element
There were two days in a row when Mckenna didn't get out of the water for about 6 hours straight. Yes, we used waterproof sunblock.
I cant believe I only gained 1 lb! We had our daily rolled tacos from La Playa, The Christensens and Breea introduced us to Taco surf, lots of Pizza, we made C.R. Sweet Pork, not to mention breakfast after a temple session at the Broken Yoke, where Cannon and Bill ate biscuits and gravy, ham steak, bacon, eggs, french toast with strawberries, large milk and a large OJ. Gross!
Lots of V-ball!
On our way to the SD Zoo with the Mulders and Christensens - no more than 3 hours was the goal. (look at Tessa and Kamryn - SWEET)
We saw some crazy things there.
Polar Bear head.
He was dreaming about In-and-Out, just like the rest of us.
We'll go anywhere with the Christensens, they're 4 soon to be 5 boys equal out our boy/girl ratio. Not to mention, Tiff is a fair-weather zoo walker like me, so we were both ready to go the same time (roughly an hour into it) Bill had a different plan:(
